These high-fidelity earplugs were developed to provide low-cost, one-size-fits-most earplugs that reduce noise by approximately 20 dB but preserve the sound quality.
ER20's use a tuned resonator and acoustic resistor to give essentially equal sound reduction to preserve the fidelity of the original sound. In effect, they turn down the noise but do not muffle voices, environmental sound or music.
