The AEP-1 has been designed to be used in high noise environments and especially where high noise peaks may occur such as with gun use or machinery. They are available for left or right ear fitting and incorporate a microphone, earphone driver with volume control and an ultra-fast compression system with a ‘brickwall’ output limiter restriction. The maximum transmitted output is 85dB regardless of the ambient noise levels. The highly sophisticated audio processing used in the AEP-1 has a wide dynamic range and will respond to low level signals when using a telephone or engaging in whispered conversation as well as very loud noises without saturation distortion.
Ambient noise can be excluded up to 30dB when properly fitted. All AEP-1’s are build with a flexible ear canal tip to assure wearing comfort. At your choice they can be manufactured in various colours.
The A312 battery will operate for up to 80 hours (depending on type of use) and is easily changed using the swing-tray which doubles as the on/off switch.
The AEP-1 can be used singly or in pairs where it is important that every noise detail is heard and to minimise disorientation effects which may occur when listening with one ear.
The AEP-1 incorporates a volume control which is continuously variable to the desired listening levels. An integral On/Off switch is fitted and the AEP-1 will operate for up to 80 hours on with one ZA312 battery.
It is important that the AEP-1 is properly fitted and is comfortable. Your dealer will be able to advise you on how to obtain the best fit and how it operates.
If the AEP-1 is used in one ear only it is essential that the opposing ear is fitted with a good quality plug.
